Blog Jobs - Wanted Political Bloggers

The Sad Elephant is looking for a Freelance Political Blogger:

The Sad Elephant is a new political blog for a new political animal, based out of Washington DC. We are looking for contributing writers, as this new site launches.

While this blog has a conservative bent, we are looking for all viewpoints, so do not be put off by the orientation of the site. We are looking for intelligent political thought. We are in our infancy and want progressive (conservative or liberal) voices to move along with us.

Expectations:

  • Must be able to contribute two to three times a week.
  • An elevated quality of writing is expected.
  • Some political writing experience preferred but not necessary.

While we are looking to promote a diversified portfolio of thought, this is not the arena for inflammatory commentary, as there is a distinct difference between that and having a strong opinion. We are not a platform for hate speech.

When applying, please outline any writing experience you may have, as well as links to any personal blogs or websites you maintain. In addition, you must include a politically-oriented writing sample (500 to 1000 words). The sample can be something that has already been published.

Interested applicants can send their application and samples to admin[at]sadelephant.org. Please address your application to Elizabeth Moorehead, Managing Editor-The Sad Elephant
